Things To Consider When Refinancing Archives

We want to refinance our commercial building mortgage and want to find reputable lenders who will work via the internet.

We have a high credit score.

Is there a list somewhere?
Since I asked this, I have found internet lending companies like Quicken Loans, HFA, The Money Store, Countrywide, American Home Mortgage, Washington Mutual. Anybody used any of these, have an opinion of any, or know of others you like?

I have the option to refinance my home that I purchased within the last 5 years, saving around 2%. The cost to refinance will be approximently 00-00. The current loan is for 30 year fixed and I plan to have it paid off in 15 years by making extra payments. Should I refinance and get a 15 year fixed to save the 2% or should I take the 00-00 and invest it in mutual funds? Thanks so much.

Thankfully, my mortgage is fixed rate. For those out there who are getting pounded by their balooning adjustable payments, do they have an option to refinance their property with a fixed rate mortgage?

I have a recently purchased Condo in DC with a value that continues to tank with the economy. Currently have 2 mortgages on it making the LTV somewhere in the neighborhood of 110 percent. Looking to refinance (I have relatively high income, excellent credit) Property value approximately 0,000 and I owe 0,000 combined. Anybody know if I can even expect to find a lender in this economy willing to lend in this situation?

I tried to get help threw them and they said I didn’t qualify because of some percentage rate so they would not help. I also tried for hardship threw the mortgage company and also tried to refinance and they wouldn’t do it either. when on fixed income its hard to make ends meet when the price of utilities and taxes keep going up.

Currently I owe ,000 on a house worth 0,000 at 6%. The mortgage is 0 and we pay an extra 0 every month.

Should I refinance to a 4.875% for a 3,000 loan (I would like some money to repair a part of my house). There are lots of refinance calculators on the internet but none of them tell you how much the "extra payment" will help. The cost of the refinance is ,500 and it would save us about /month which we would then add back in to the "extra payment" we make, so the mortgage would be 0 + 0 extra per month.

Thanks.
Thanks. The reason I don’t want a 15 year loan is because we are thinking of having a child soon and don’t want to be locked into that higher monthly rate. By paying extra we can stop if we need to.
Toni - I put 24% down so I’ve never had PMI. If you look the 103K is to keep to loan-to-value at under 80%.
